Youth bible studies Forgiveness - Koodies - Don't fight naked - Honesty - All rapped up - The "S" word - JC and the big tempter - Get in the Word - Taming the tongue - Where am I God? - Don't go with the Flow - Should I Shouldn't I? What is your most embarrassing moment? What is something you have done that made your parents really mad? What is something you have done that is difficult to forgive yourself for? Tell a time that you have had to ask for forgiveness. How about a time when you were accused of something you did not do. Tell something that you have been forgiven for. Read Luke 15:11-32 What did the youngest son do with his money? How bad was the job he had? What caused him to return home? Did he expect to get back into the family? What did the dad do when the son returned home? Did the son repent? Did the dad forgive him? This story illustrates what happens between men and God. God is like the father; we are like the son. Have you ever acted the way you wanted regardless of the way God felt? If you were the son, where would you be right now?
What does God want us to do when we sin?
Does God forgive us when we come to Him for forgiveness? What is something you should ask for forgiveness about today? Pray about those things right now!
Go around the room with each one describing the perfect Boyfriend/girlfriend. Go around again and describe what you think God would think is a perfect boyfriend/girlfriend. Name some of the things that you think God would want to happen in a godly relationship. Name some things that God would not want in a godly relationship. Read Proverbs 13:20 What are some results of dating the wrong kind of person? Is any Christian guy/girl OK to date? Why or why not? Give examples God loves you very much and you are special and beautiful to Him. He desires the very best for you. You should desire the best for you also. Pray about the kind of person God would have you date.

I am serious about being a godly man/woman. Ready to announce the good news: I am willing to publicly announce my faith in Christ. Faith: I am willing to step out with Christ and sacrifice whatever it takes to be in His will. I am willing to build my whole life around Christ.
Word of God: I seek to know more about God by reading His word. Prayer: I consistently set aside time for me to speak to God. I consult with Him for my decisions. Rate from 1 to 10 how well you are equipped with each piece of armor. If you were thrown into a spiritual battle, needing your armor, how would you do? During what times in your life have you grown the most spiritually? What is the hardest part of your quiet times? What is a solution?

Y N I am a worthwhile person even if I’m not a total "babe" or a "Hot Momma hunk". Y N A person’s real value should be measured by what is inside them. Y N God wants me to take care of my body and to look my best. Y N Sex is a gift from God, so we should use it whenever we can. Y N Physical affection is the best way to show your boyfriend or girlfriend that you really love them. Y N Sexual intercourse is OK as long as you are in love. Y N Sexual intercourse between husband and wife is a beautiful expression of love designed and blessed by God. Y N A person may have sexual urges but they can control them. Read Genesis 1:27, 28, 31 Mark 10:6-9 Sexuality is a gift from God, created and blessed by Him to be enjoyed by married couples. However, God is really displeased with those who take His gift and misuse it. He speaks very clearly about the consequences of using His gift in an improper way. Read 1 Cor. 6:13-20
Here is the Good news!!!!!!!!! Read 1 Cor 10:13 1 John 1:9 What is the good news about these scriptures? What can you do personally not to end up making a mistake?
Read Matt. 4:1-11
In each of Jesus’ temptations, the devil tried to get Him to meet a need in the wrong way or to desire to devil’s way, not God’s way. What are two needs or desires that you have and how would God want them met? How does Satan try to tempt you to meet them? Match the verse Lust............................... Joshua 1:9 Fear ..............................Matt. 5:44 Hate.............................. 1 Cor. 6:13

GET IN THE WOOOOORD SEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!
Look up these verses (if you brought your bible) and discuss them. Figure out the advantages the bible is to us. 1 Pet 2:2 Ps 19:10 Heb 5:11-14 Tim 3:16-17 Another good reason to read the bible is that it tells us how G0d wants us to live our lives. Cool huh. Pray about your desire to read the bible.
Read James 3:3-11 What are the three word pictures James drew about the tongue? How would a bridled house, a steered ship, and a controlled fire, feel if they could express themselves? (Pick one for each) frustrated, over controlled, creative, bottled up, angry, stifled, who cares, purposeful, fulfilled, helped, useful, resentful, magnificent What did James mean when he said…
What kind of problems do you think the Christians had, that James was writing to? How do you think your friends are different or similar to James’ friends? Answer these questions with on of the following: ALWAYS SOMETIMES NEVER
How do you feel about your control of your tongue? Name three ways you can make your speech habits better.
Name something that really weirds you out about God. On a scale of 1 to 10, how do you rate yourself as a Christian? Each of you share what you think God is going to do with your life. Are you really serious about God and what He wants for you? What do you think the consequences are for not committing your whole self to God? What do you think the long-term consequences are for not following Christ in your life style? Read Prov 3:1-12 and analyze each verse You need to make a decision now about your future with God. Either serve Him or Don’t. If you want to walk with Him do it! You will make mistakes, we all do, but God, with His loving hands will pick you up and let you try to walk again. The important part is not that you fell but that are trying to walk. Either decide to walk, as Christ wants you to or blow this whole Christian thing off, but don’t walk the fence. Read Rev 3:15-16 God loves you and will wait on you as long as you continue to put Him off, but I promise, the quicker you decide to dive in the faster you will find the peace and happiness you have been looking for.
Read Romans 12:2 How do you think people feel when they get smoozed into going with the flow even when they know its wrong? Why do you think some people get trapped into conforming the "the patterns of this world"? How do you think Paul felt about the "world’s molds" or the "the patterns of the worlds"? What word picture do you think best describes these transformations Paul commands?
Think of you two favorite shows. Do they conform to the world or are they transforming you? What two areas of your life are the hardest to resist "conformity" in? How do your failures effect your relationship with God? Read Phil 4:8 and Col. 3:1-3,16 and Rom 2:12 again What are some ways you can begin to renew your mind? What does Rom 12:2 promise those who’s minds are transformed by God? If your mind was transformed, how do you think you would be different? Pray as a group about way’s you can transform your mind!
Read Judges 16:7 Discuss what that verse means (Everyone answer)
(Don’t have answer out loud)
Read Philippians 4:8 We are faced with all of these decisions about and, if you’re honest, you have probably failed at one time or another. We know that they are wrong, so why do we make the wrong decisions? God told us, through the bible, that some things are right and some are wrong. It is right to … love your brother, be pure swell on Him, forgive, think of others first, (name some more) It is wrong to … lie, cheat, hurt others, commit sexual impurity, get drunk, and (name others) Are the things He told us not to do negatives or positives? They are positives because God told us not to do them for our own good; ands so we wouldn’t harm ourselves are our relationship with Him. Go through each of these and talk about why God would tell not to do them for our own good. Of course all of them will cause you the break fellowship with Him, but how will they effect your life right now? Lying, cheating, stealing, hurting others, anger, rebelling, disrespectfully, skanky music, drinking/drugs, sexual immorality, abortion, suicide, spiritual complacency. Can you think of any others? It always feels better and is usually easier to do the wrong thing (right then), but long term God know what’s best for you so He gave us some guidelines to follow. You will find the most peace and joy if you stay inside them. When you know why the right thing is better, then it’s easier to make the right choice. What are some choices that you can make differently next time?
